  1. Hey! Thanks for the reblog ! That said, when I big chopped last year it felt like everyone had already started their journey and they had everything figured out but what I have learnt this past year is that everybody started somewhere and nobody starts their journey knowing everything. So while we may not have the length or the famous YouTube channel, ours is to enjoy where we are at right now and aim for healthy hair. All the best.

    • Hey! Thanks, Michelle. It is so refreshing to hear about other natural’s journeys thus far, and what they are looking forward to through this wild hair “expedition”, as I like to call it.

Glad to be a part of the natural hair community with you guys! Long time coming. Looking forward to staying connected.

  2. Lovely introduction. “…we were already made to be complex. Not perfect.” I esp liked that line because it is so true and sometime we, even as naturals, forget that.

The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 11:15, “But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.” I feel like it is almost embedded in us to yearn for length be it natural, relaxed or by extensions. The release/freedom comes when we accept what we are blessed with and love it for what it is 🙂

Looking forward to your future posts!

    • Thank you! It’s definitely my belief that we were made beautifully in God’s image… hence “Beautifully Mane.” I am looking forward to sharing my experience through WordPress, as well as connecting with other fellow naturals, such as yourself! I am excited. 🙂
